Retail Cashier

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
  • Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.
  • Process sales, returns, and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Assist with stocking shelves and organizing displays as needed.
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products and services.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
  • Follow all store policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using cash registers and handling transactions.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
