Supermarket Cashier

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases.
• Operate cash registers and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Scan items, ensure pricing is accurate, and bag items carefully.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assist with stocking shelves and organizing displays when needed.
• Follow all store policies and procedures regarding transactions and customer interactions.
• Report any discrepancies, issues, or customer feedback to the supervisor.
• Ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Friendly, positive attitude and professional appearance.
