Supermarket Cashier

Responsibilities:

• Operate the cash register to process customer purchases.
• Scan items, manage transactions, and handle cash, credit, or debit payments.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and addressing their inquiries.
• Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assist customers with bagging their groceries and offer help with larger items.
• Balance the cash drawer at the end of the shift and report any discrepancies.
• Follow store policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and security.
• Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining store displays as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle cash transactions accurately.
