Supermarket Cashier

Job Summary:
We are seeking a courteous and reliable Supermarket Cashier to process customer purchases accurately and provide efficient checkout service. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling payments, assisting customers, and maintaining accuracy in a busy supermarket environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scan products and process customer purchases using the checkout system.
• Accept cash, card, and other authorized forms of payment.
• Issue receipts and ensure transactions are completed accurately.
• Handle cash responsibly and follow cash register procedures.
• Assist customers with basic questions, pricing concerns, and checkout issues.
• Keep the checkout area clean and organized and report discrepancies to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mathematics and cash-handling skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems or basic computer operations.
• Strong attention to detail, honesty, and reliability.
• Previous supermarket, retail, or cashier experience is preferred.
