Retail Cashier

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Retail Cashier to handle customer transactions and provide efficient service at the checkout. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling payments, maintaining accurate records, and assisting customers with routine inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process cash, card, and other authorized customer payments accurately.
• Scan and record products and provide receipts for completed transactions.
• Handle cash responsibly and maintain accurate cash register records.
• Assist customers with basic questions and direct them to the appropriate staff when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Report pricing discrepancies, transaction issues, or cash differences to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer or point-of-sale system knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred.
